Lieutenant Picard, however, is set to live a long, bleak life of mediocrity, and he’s all that Q has left.—An AU where, during Tapestry, Picard never asks for Q to let him re-redo his encounter with the Nausicaans, creating one timeline where he dies in the sickbay and one where he stays a lieutenant in astrophysics.
